Note: 28 or 30mm backset lockcases work depending on the strip that you are fitting the replacement case to. All the GU Ferco old lockcases have a 28mm backset but some lock strips had a 2mm outward kink on the faceplate which turns the backset to 30mm and you will find that the faceplate was stamped 30mm. This gearbox will fit either version and restore the lock back to the original settings.
